A smart erection ring is a constriction ring with sensors built in. The FirmTech TechRing keeps the doctor-designed peno-scrotal shape and adjustable hook-and-loop strap of FirmTech's other rings, and adds a small sensor module that connects over Bluetooth.

During sex it measures firmness, quality and duration. Overnight, it records the count, strength and length of nighttime erections. How do I set up the TechRing?

FirmTech says setup takes about three minutes once the ring is charged:

  1. Step 1: Charge

    Plug in with the included USB cable. A full charge takes 2 to 4 hours and lasts about 12.

  2. Step 2: Pair

    Download the FirmTech app, turn on Bluetooth and follow the prompts to connect your ring.

  3. Step 3: Wear
